On January 18, 2025, residents of Korapitha Gram Panchayat witnessed a significant increase in pension benefits for the elderly and disabled. Individuals aged 80 and above, along with those with over 80% disability, saw their monthly pension rise from Rs 1,200 to Rs 3,500. This initiative aimed to provide greater financial security and improve the quality of life for vulnerable members of the community.
